An organic honey-based substance, which is not believed to be hazardous, has allegedly been poured on to a footpath and paving at WA’s Parliament House.

It happened on August 30 and police have released an image of a man they want to speak to over the incident.

Anyone with information, including dash camera vision of a person acting suspiciously in the vicinity of Parliament House or the broader precinct in West Perth, is urged to call Crime Stoppers.

It is not clear what charges, if any, may result from the police investigation but the culprit could be looking at offences of criminal damage or trespassing.
