Every dog has its day and for Tammy the chocolate labrador, that day has arrived. Having been chauffeured by me over the Sydney Harbour Bridge, my pooch alights from her chariot, dons her snazzy new purple lead and is wagging her tail in readiness for whatever awaits. After a quick sniff of the potted plants outside Pier One Sydney Harbour she makes her entrance. The faces of the reception staff may be largely concealed behind masks, but their eyes tell me my best friend is most welcome. And while the Sanitiser Sommelier, a trolley bearing multiple brands of disinfectant, is of great interest to her sensitive schnozz, there is no requirement for Tammy to de-germ those paws.
