NSW border bubble to be announced
NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian will visit Albury, on the New South Wales-Victorian border today, announcing details of a so-called border bubble.
The ABC understands the Premier will announce that a single border region will be reinstated on Friday, extending 50km either side of the state boundary.
Currently, Victorian border residents with permits to enter New South Wales must stay within a 2.5km zone.
New resident permits will also come into effect from Friday.
We’ll no doubt get more details from the NSW Premier later.
