A 45-year-old man accused of repeatedly breaching an order to self-quarantine has been placed in a “secure” hotel and will be charged.
The man flew to Perth from Sydney on August 26 and was ordered to self-quarantine for 14 days.
But when officers conducted a compliance check on Thursday, the man was not home.
He arrived a short time later in his vehicle and was arrested then placed in secure hotel quarantine.
Police allege he repeatedly breached the direction. The investigation is ongoing.
The man will be summonsed to appear in Perth Magistrates Court at a later date charged with failing to comply with a direction.
The Department of Health says the risk to the public is low.
