WE ALL wish we had more time in the morning, but our beauty routines often mean sacrificing some shut eye just to allow time to get stuff done.
But according to a top Aussie hairdresser, the secret to perfect locks depends on what you do BEFORE you go to sleep at night, which will save you time in the morning – and all you need is dry shampoo.
Sydney hairdresser Alex Fuchs, who owns Fuchs Hair, said applying dry shampoo to your hair before you sleep will mean perfect hair in the morning.
According to News.com.au, you simply spray it into your lifeless hair before you go to sleep from a 30cm distance, and leave it in overnight to soak up excess oil.
When you wake up in the morning, Alex claims your hair will be “clean and textured” saving you a heap of time when getting ready for the day.
Beauty fans have also been sharing the tip online, with many surprised by the simple and genius hack.

Taking to Twitter, one user wrote: “I can’t believe I never knew the secret of dry shampoo which is put it in your hair before you go to bed not when you wake up.”
And another raved: “idk who needs to hear this but put your dry shampoo in at night before you go to bed — it will change ur life !!”
According to the publication, US hair expert Kristin Ess also told Cosmopolitan of the trick in 2018.

She explained one of the biggest mistakes people make with the product is only waiting a couple of seconds after spraying before massaging it into their roots.
“If your roots are extra oily, you can spray them with dry shampoo at night before you climb into bed, so the powders can soak up excess oil while you sleep,” she said.
So if you want the perfect head of hair but can’t be bothered taking the time, whip out the trusty dry shampoo and get to work.
